I love this combination of purple Allium ‘Christophii’ with hardy blue Geranium ‘Brookside’. A perfectly harmonious duo for June in Hampshire! The cheapest way of having alliums in your garden is to buy them as bulbs in the autumn. Planted in bulk, large varieties are spectacular through the herbacious border while the smaller ones look fabulous mixed through ‘natural’ meadow plantings. Related to onions, they come in a range of purples and whites.
