Poppy perfection!

I planted a lavender hedge (Lavandula ‘Hidcote’) grown from cuttings along my driveway and it was still looking a bit sparce this spring, so I scattered some annual opium poppy seeds down to fill in the gaps – looking great now! Opium poppies grow very quickly – save some dried poppy heads for seed for next year! This variety is Papaver somniferum ‘Paeony Flowered’. Gorgeous!
