If you can pronounce the name of this gorgeous pale pink flower, it’s one of the rudest-sounding names in botany – Schizostylis coccinea ‘Pink Princess’. Commonly known as the Kaffir lily, it’s semi-evergreen leaves offer good ground-cover all summer, and the flowers throughout autumn are invaluable late highlights. They grow in most soils, though dislike chalk and need plenty of moisture all year round.
