Corydalis lutea is a plant most people consider to be a weed, but if the definition of a weed is ‘any plant in the wrong place’, this little evergreen has a place in my garden. It self-seeds into damp, shady spots and brightens them up with golden flowers and delicate, lacy foliage. I rip some clumps out from time to time, just to keep it under control.
