Bright yellow is often often scorned in the summer garden, but I like it… it can be a stimulating, daring, brassy colour that adds great cheer to a garden. I like it with strong rich blues, oranges and reds but NEVER with pale pink and it’s truly awful with mauve! This Lysimachia punctata is a reliable herbacious perennial for both dry and damp conditions and is loved by many insects, so great for all wildlife. Can be invasive in damp ground.
